31 Days Project // Day 14 // Grace for the forgetful blogger

Welcome to 31 Days to an Organized Life & Business! For the month of October I will be a participant in The Nester’s 31 days Writing Challenge. Taking some of my own advice and taking you along on my journey to a life reset. I’ll be sharing (and practicing) some tips on everything from bookkeeping, shopping, managing kids, intentional parenting, work from home mom syndrome, work/life balance, spiritual reset and more. Not because I am the expert in these fields, but because they have worked for me in the past, and I so badly need them to work again for me now.

When I say I need this reset I’m not even kidding. When I say I’ll be writing about it, I don’t mean, I’m going to talk about past advice or something that worked once for me 3 years ago. I mean I’m going to hit publish on this blog post, and then go and do what I am writing about today.  That is all I can commit to for today. Which means, if you can relate to any of this, I invite you along on this 31 day journey. Watch me triumph or fail, but I’ll be here daily to give you updates. I’d love if you joined me, and keep me posted on your progress as well. There’s hope and support in community here.

If you missed Day 1, or would like to catch up on any other day, click the link on the right hand side or right here.

Be sure to also follow along on Instagram as I post updates throughout the day. #31daystoreset @Angelsea Urban

Welcome to day 14: Grace for the forgetful blogger

If you have been keeping up with my 31 Days you may have noticed that there was umm… a few days that are just not here. Whoops. Well, I’m human what can I say. I was wondering how hard it would be to keep up with daily blogging and it turns out, it’s pretty darn hard.

Life happens.

I am a photographer and I was shooing an out of town wedding this past weekend. It was also my wedding anniversary so I roped hubby into coming to shoot with me and we’d make a weekend out it (even though I’d be working an 18 hour day, but whatever – we’d figure it out). I still didn’t think any of that would stop me. I thought – well, I’ll just have to preplan and get it all done because, I can do everything, obviously (insert sarcasm here). I had family coming in to help with my kids and I had it all figured out.

Only, things didn’t go as planned on Friday. Packing my gear, packing for the weekend, preparing the kids to be supervised by an out of town relative, and lo and behold, it’s Tuesday.

Being away from our kids is hard for us, but we know as a couple it’s important to nurture our marriage with high priority. So when our kids are going HOG WILD because they are just screaming for attention when we get home, the priority becomes them and everything else gets pushed aside.

The irony of it all, is that my last post was on Work/Life Balance, and as it turns out, I was unintentionally living that out as I ignored all of my responsibilities so I can hang out with my kids on their day off of school. Including my blog.

Organized by grace, living intentionally through faith, and doing our best in building a legacy of practical stewardship for our family.

Not every day goes as planned and not every plan goes out each day.

There are days when stuff just doesn’t happen.  We can throw in the towel or we can try again and see it through.

So…. I’m still in it. And tomorrow you won’t want to miss…. Easy Personal Financial Management.

Thanks for visiting today!
