CoSchedule: Bloggers take note of this amazing new WordPress plug in

It didn’t take me more than 24 hours to fall in love with the time saving program, CoSchedule for WordPress.

There are so many different Social Media outlets to manage, and each having their own ever changing set of “algorithms” it’s become a great effort to attempt to manage getting content out for eager readers to see. Even then, only a small percentage get to see the content, so posting multiple times per day on different outlets becomes necessary. Sadly, having time to do all that is just not possible for me, and so my stats suffer. I can schedule my blog posts, and have that copy to my Facebook Business Page, but that is just about it. In order for me to schedule anything further, I have to go to each individual platform and schedule posts – IF they can even be scheduled – so far – it’s just Facebook. It helps that I try to maintain a Monday/Thursday blogging schedule – so friends who follow the blog know when to check for new content – but even then, it’s nice to have a reminder from their favorite social media outlet.

Needless to say, I was thrilled to find CoSchedule – a drag-and-drop editorial calendar for WordPress that puts your blog posts and social media messages on the same schedule.

I am able to link up all of my favorite social media platforms, INCLUDING Pinterest – which I thought was the icing on the cake. I actually decided to add a new board on Pinterest JUST to link up my blog posts from now on. Part of the reason I rarely pinned my own posts were because some were related to business, some were sessions from clients that were published, others were related to ministry or even personal posts. Again – time being an issue – I relied on clients and fans to post and link to the blogs posts they liked to their own Pinterest accounts – and their support has been amazing. But thanks to CoSchedule, I can make that easier for friends who follow my Pinterest account to have quick access to blog posts as well.  Now – if they add Instagram on there someday I might not ever want for anything ever again.

The best thing about CoSchedule is that as you drag a post from one date to another, your social media messages move with it. This allows bloggers to create a series of messages that promote their blog posts on a rolling schedule.

AND – I was even able to link it to my Google Calendar which was just AMAZING. Maybe you read my guest post on Rachelle Chase’s Blog where I talk about some of my scheduling in life and business while raising kids – mostly through my google calendar. So, having CoSchedule link back to my google calendar was a huge bonus.
